Employment Law Services for Employers

“One of my employees is regularly off work for sickness reasons; can I sack them?”

“I need to restructure my workplace; how do I achieve this?”

“One of my employees who is pregnant is regularly absent from work; is there anything I can do?”

“I need proper employment contracts; what do I need to include?”

These are just a few of the enquiries that our employment team has recently dealt with on behalf of employers. Our specialist team has extensive experience in helping businesses of all sizes with their employment law needs. We provide clear, affordable advice to help you navigate this complex and evolving area of law to resolve problems and protect your business. We advise employers to ask for advice before making a decision that proves costly.

Our Services Include

  • Preparation of Consultancy Agreements
  • Preparation and Revision of Employment Contracts, Policies and Procedures
  • Advice about Employment Issues including Discrimination
  • Advice on Business Reorganisation and Redundancies
  • Employee Reward Schemes (share options and bonuses)
  • Acting as a Soundboard to help you make the decision that is right for your business
  • Transfer of Employees on the sale of Business or Service Provision Changes (TUPE Issues)
  • Advice on Restrictive Covenants
  • Advice on LLPs and Partnerships on Employment and Partnership Issues
  • Advice on Termination and Issues arising from Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures
  • Representation at the Employment Tribunal
  • Negotiation and Preparation of Settlement Agreements

Tribunal Representation

Our objective is to advise action which avoids matters going before a Tribunal, but sometimes this is not possible. If the case goes to an Employment Tribunal we can provide a full representation service, either using our own advocates, or by using specialist counsel as appropriate. We will also provide an “advice only” service, which is particularly appropriate in lower value cases.

Costs and Fees

We provide an estimate of the costs and fees involved when taking on a new case so you can avoid any unpleasant surprises later on. We keep you informed of costs as work proceeds so you know exactly where you stand. Our lawyers are dedicated to ensuring you receive the highest quality service at an appropriate fee. As an employer, if you are looking to discuss estimated costs and fees for our services, ring 01945 461 456, or email ELS@fraserdawbarns.com.

Trusted Advice and Guidance

Members of our employment team can offer appointments in each of the firm’s five offices at Wisbech, King’s Lynn, Ely, March and Downham Market. Ring your nearest office today to discuss the best option to meet your needs.
