Charity

Each year as a firm, we choose a local charity as our Charity of the Year in which we dedicate all our fundraising activity. We have supported a number of charities since starting our Charity of the Year scheme, including:

We have raised thousands for each of these charities through charity golf competitions and other fundraising events. As a result, we have been able to see first-hand the difference donations such as ours can make to these worthwhile causes. We are so grateful to be in the position to be able to give back to our local community. 

2022/23 Charity Of The Year

Our current charity is the Road Victims Trust, a charity who provide support to those who have been affected by road traffic accidents. You can find out more about the charity here.

For the last few years, we have used the money that would have traditionally been used for corporate gifts, to make donations to local charities.



Last year 2021/2022 our chosen charity was The Purfleet Trust, who thanked Fraser Dawbarns for our Christmas donation with the following social media post.


“Thank you so much again for thinking of us, your donation will be an amazing help and will support the work in our new health and fitness suite. If you would like to arrange to come in and have a look around the centre please do let me know. I will also, as mentioned send you the report on the fitness suite once this is produced. Over the winter months we are working with up to 90 people each day so support from local organisations such as yourselves makes a real difference. ”

Community Involvement

At Fraser Dawbarns LLP, we are involved and committed to supporting the communities surrounding us. We regularly sponsor societies and sports clubs, past and current sponsorships include:

Pro Bono Work

Our lawyers attend local schools and careers fairs to inform students about the different career paths they can take in law, and students can ask any questions that they have about the legal profession.

Before the Covid pandemic, we provided a legal advice morning at RAF Marham which includes 30 minute appointments of free legal advice. We also provided free legal advice to West Norfolk Disability Information Service (WNDIS).

Environment

We are committed to ensuring that our impact on the environment is to a minimum. We encourage all our staff across our four offices to recycle and reuse whenever possible.

We have also set up a paper light committee, which regularly meets to discuss ways that we can reduce our overall paper usage as a firm.
