Syeda Mahfuz is a Paralegal in our Private Client team, based at our Ely office. Syeda can help clients on a wide range of matters regarding Probate, Wills, trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Syeda has worked with a broad range of clients previously, including company owners and farmers, businesspeople, and non-UK domiciled clients. Clients can expect personalised, high-quality client care from visiting Syeda. Our team recognises that no two situations are the same, so it is important to personalise care to individual clients.
Syeda is committed to providing a compassionate and client-centric service. She consistently receives praise from clients for her pleasant nature and helpful approach. Clients have often noted that she is a 'pleasure to talk to,' appreciating how she takes the time to listen thoroughly and is always focused on finding practical solutions.
Career
Syeda studied Law at Anglia Ruskin University and was heavily involved in extra-curricular activities to support her studies. Before graduating in 2022, she was a weekly volunteer at the Anglia Law Clinic whereby she assisted lawyers across Cambridgeshire to provide advice and support to clients.
Syeda also attended support at court sessions for Family Court on a weekly basis to provide moral and legal support to clients who did not have any legal professional’s help.
She joined the expanding Fraser Dawbarns team in 2024. She is currently working towards completing her Solicitors Qualification Exam (SQE) and a Masters of Law (LLM) at BPP University.
Syeda brings a unique perspective to private client law, drawing on over five years of valuable experience working in a dementia care setting. This background has equipped her with a profound understanding of the challenges facing elderly and vulnerable clients, particularly those with capacity issues. She is known for her patient, empathetic approach to client care, ensuring that every individual feels heard, respected, and fully supported through sensitive legal processes such as Wills, probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
