Fraser Dawbarns has recruited six new apprentices who are starting their careers with the firm in the King’s Lynn and Wisbech offices.  Five of the new intakes will be studying with the CILEX Law School whilst gaining hands on experience in their teams over a period of two years before becoming Paralegals. They will then have the opportunity to study further through the apprenticeship scheme to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.

George Davis and Isabella Thurnell will start out in the Residential Property team, where the volume of transactions over the past 18 months has hit an all-time high for the firm.  Alice Gill will begin in the Commercial Property team, where business inevitably slowed in the early stages of the pandemic but has now picked up sharply.  Megan Woods joins the Private Client team initially to learn about Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate, while Elle Walden begins with Business Administration.  Courtney Robbins has joined the Litigation team, learning initially about Personal Injury work.  Each have come from local schools and colleges including, King Edward VII Academy, College of West Anglia and Springwood High School, in Kings Lynn. In addition to Neal Wade Academy in March and Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech.

Alice Gill Quote:

‘I feel so fortunate to have gained an apprenticeship placement with Fraser Dawbarns, a successful local law firm, in which I have only heard great things about.  To be able to work alongside studying in order to become a qualified lawyer has always been my dream.  I’m ecstatic to see where this journey takes me, with the support of such a friendly team.’

Iain Grimes, Managing Partner at Fraser Dawbarns, comments: “Enabling lawyers to qualify into the profession through the apprenticeship route is still a relatively new option and one generally adopted by the largest firms of solicitors initially. We are now delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to young people in our region as we seek to continue to develop our business and ensure we are able to provide the advice all our clients need in the years ahead.”
