£45,000 injury settlement obtained for man who suffered a leg injury

Neil John, who leads the personal injury team at Fraser Dawbarns, has helped a local client to obtain a £45,000 injury claim settlement following a fall on ice in the car park of a local DIY store. As a result, the client suffered a serious fracture to his leg.

Neil comments: “The aim when bringing a personal injury claim is to put someone back in the position that they would have been in had the incident in which they were injured never occurred.  Our client was at an important stage in running his own business and its growth was delayed because of his injury which resulted in limited mobility. Fortunately, he recovered fully in due course, but the short-term cost to his business was considerable. We were able to claim for this in the same way as we would for loss of earnings, if the injured person had been an employee who could not work for a period of time.”
