The 2019 KLFM Local Hero Awards

This year’s ceremony will be taking place on the 23rd January 2019 at the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange and will be hosted by KLFM’s Adam Newstead. The Local Hero Awards is an emotional and well loved evening where the achievements of West Norfolk’s most inspirational people are honoured for their contributions to our local community.

The categories for the awards show will be:

• Sports Person of the Year. Honouring exceptional sportsmen and women who have achieved incredible heights in West Norfolk over the past year.
• Young Person of the Year. Recognising the best of the best under 18 years of age who have done something incredible in the last year.
• Lifetime Achievement Award. Who has lived an amazing life and deserves to be recognised for it?
• Neighbour of the Year. Recognising incredible neighbours who know what ‘community’ means.
• Colleague of the Year. Honouring the unsung hero from your business.
• Uniformed Services Award. Paying tribute to the everyday heroes who work for the uniformed services.
• Fundraiser of the Year. Who has worked tirelessly to raise funds for good causes and deserves to be this year’s winner?
• Teacher of the Year. Recognising those teachers who have inspired us to achieve great things.
• Volunteer of the Year. Which volunteer really stands out and deserves to be this year’s winner.
• Four Legged Friend Award. Honouring those who works to keep animals safe, loved and looked after.
• Triumph over Adversity Award. This award is to recognise those people who have been through a terrible time and come out with a smile on their face.
• Health Worker of the Year. Who has gone above and beyond to care for us when we are sick?
• Carer of the Year. For those amazing carers who really touch the lives of others.
