£50,000 settlement obtained for Cambridgeshire factory worker
Neil John, who heads the personal injury team at Fraser Dawbarns, has recently settled the claim of a machine operative who suffered leg injuries in a workplace accident. The client's leg became trapped when the machinery he was working with failed and he required surgery and subsequent therapy.
Neil comments: "We are regularly approached to help with personal injury claims relating to injuries caused by workplace machinery, sometimes indoors in a factory environment and on other occasions outdoors in relation to either construction, forestry or agricultural machinery. From the clients' viewpoint, the good news is that most employers are properly insured and, if it is clear that it was the machinery rather than the workers who was at fault, the claims are generally easier to prove than in some other circumstances."
