Fraser Dawbarns presents cheque to the Cambridge & Ely Child Contact Centres for £2,430
A cheque for funds raised at Fraser Dawbarns' Ely charity treasure hunt in May was presented to Phil and Mary Parker who set up the Child Contact Centre in Ely.
The Child Contact Centres provide a place where children from separated families can enjoy contact with a non-resident parent or other family member. The Centres offer a child-centred atmosphere that helps to build trust and confidence. The Centres are run by a small local charity and are accredited members of the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC).
Seema Solanki, partner at our Ely office, presented Phil and Mary Parker with a cheque for £2,430 earlier this week. The Parkers set up the Ely centre 26 years ago and have been supporting families in Cambridgeshire since.
Fraser Dawbarns chose its new charity partnerships to run from May 2026 for two years. The firm, which previously had one charity of the year, most recently Little Miracles, decided to support one charity in each of its office locations between May 2026 and April 2028.
The charities, nominated and then chosen democratically by those working in the firm, are: Breast of Friends in King’s Lynn; Cambridge and Ely Child Contact Centres in Ely; Ravenswood Pet Rescue in Wisbech; Arthur Rank Hospice Charity nominated by the firm’s March office; and West Norfolk Autism Group chosen by the Downham Market team.
