Tony Cheetham

Tony Cheetham is a highly experienced solicitor in our Commercial team and is based in the King’s Lynn office. Tony can advise clients on company and business sales and purchases and commercial contracts.  He also has extensive experience of commercial property acquisitions and sales, leases, securitisation and company, LLP and partnership formations and reconstructions.

Tony’s clients are generally business owners or managers, many of whom have been clients for two or three decades.

Career

Tony joined the firm in 2008 when his firm, Waterman & Cheetham, merged with Fraser Dawbarns LLP. Prior to setting up his own firm in 1994, Tony worked at Metcalfe Copeman and Pettefar from 1984, after he qualified with a firm in Sheffield.

Tony is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association, having worked extensively with farmers and landowners throughout his career.

Personal Interests

Outside work, Tony is a keen beekeeper and tennis player, and has recently started playing pickleball.

Tony is a past governor of Isle College of Further Education, now the College of West Anglia, in Wisbech. Tony is also a past Committee Member of Agricultural Law Association, and between 1987 and 2004 he was the Treasurer of Comité Européen de Droit Rural.
