People and Culture Director

Laura is People and Culture Director at Fraser Dawbarns and oversees all aspects of the firm’s People Function.

With over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, Laura brings a wealth of expertise including fostering inclusive, engaging and high-performing workplaces. She joined Fraser Dawbarns in 2017 and is passionate about creating an environment where every individual can thrive, develop and reach their full potential.

Career

Laura began her career in a wider business management role before developing her specialism in People Management. She has been a member of the Chartered Institute for Personal Development (CIPD) since 2019.

Laura’s early career included a role as a Finance and Operations Manager for Marks & Spencer, where she oversaw finance and operational functions with responsibility for compliance, HR service delivery and process improvement.  She led initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

She then moved into the public sector and spend six years as HR Business Partner for Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.  In this role she led the delivery of the people strategy across both Constabularies, partnering with senior leaders to drive organisational performance.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Laura enjoys playing netball in the Wisbech and West Norfolk leagues.  She also enjoys playing racketball socially and for fitness and spending time with her family, enjoying the Norfolk coastline.
