Katie Cooper is a Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing department, based in the Wisbech office. Katie specialises in a range of residential conveyancing matters including buying property, selling property, transfers of equity, and remortgages. Katie’s work means that she deals with a wide range of clients from first time buyers to developers.
Katie particularly enjoys working with developers to purchase land, obtain finance and then sell the house when finished. Katie’s clients can expect clear guidance throughout the conveyancing procedure in understandable terms without all the legal jargon.
Katie studied Law at Oxford Brookes University where she also took part in a pro-bono refugee project regarding legal rights in third world countries and also volunteered in the HR department of John Radcliffe hospital, helping with Employment Law.
After graduating with a 2:1 in 2015, Katie spent 2 years working in a different field before joining Fraser Dawbarns as a Conveyancing Paralegal in January 2018. Katie completed her training contract at the same time as studying for the Legal Practice Course (LPC). After training in the Conveyancing, Civil Litigation, and Private Client departments, Katie qualified as a Solicitor in November 2020.
Outside work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dogs, and travelling.
We are in strange times in the pandemic and what impressed me most is that this did not affect the level of service or provide excuses. We completed in 12 weeks and whilst I appreciate the chain has a bearing on timescales, Fraser Dawbarns did not hold up the time frame with their part.Client - Downham Market Office
