Helen Jarvis
Helen Jarvis is residential property specialist, Joint Head of the Fraser Dawbarns Residential Conveyancing Team and is based in the March office. Helen has expertise in all aspects of residential property and is particularly focused on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, purchase of building plots and land, as well as transfer of equity transactions and the first registration of titles to property.
Helen helps a wide range of people with their property transactions. Her clients include first time buyers, whom she takes the time to guide through the excitement of purchasing their own home, through to elderly couples who are downsizing or moving back near their family. Helen also acts for investment buyers and developers. Helen has many clients who she has helped move from property to property over the years.
Helen particularly enjoys the variety involved within her work as well as working with her clients and colleagues. Helen’s clients can expect a friendly and straight-forward person who is easy to communicate with and explains all legal aspects in layman terms.
Career
Helen began her career in the legal profession in a secretarial role in a Cambridgeshire firm and was rapidly offered the opportunity to train as a Legal Executive. She studied remotely while working full-time and raising a young baby and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2008.
She became part of the Fraser Dawbarns team following the merger of the legacy firms and was made a partner in 2017. She has been Joint Head of Residential Conveyancing since 2020.

Helen’s extensive experience as a residential property lawyer is valued by her clients. This includes expertise in the following areas:

Helen has also assisted many older clients when they are downsizing or selling their home to move into sheltered accommodation or another care environment. She is a trained Dementia Friend.

Outside work, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and reading.
