Successful apprentices celebrate five years with Fraser Dawbarns

We are delighted to share the news that four apprentices who joined Fraser Dawbarns in Autumn 2021 are now celebrating their fifth anniversary with the firm. They are Alice Gill, George Davis, Isabella Thurnell and Megan Woods, pictured from left to right, with People and Culture Director, Laura Jawor, in the centre.

Having successfully completed their CILEX Paralegal Apprenticeships, George, Isabella, Alice and Megan are now taking the next step in their professional development through the Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship. As they continue their studies, they are gaining the knowledge, skills and experience needed to qualify as Chartered Legal Executives, while making a valuable contribution to our teams and clients. George and Isabella are working within the Residential Property team, in Downham Market and Wisbech respectively.  Alice is focusing on Commercial Property in King’s Lynn and Megan is a member of the Private Client team in Wisbech.

Laura Jawor comments: “Apprenticeships have been an important part of our recruitment strategy in recent years. They open up opportunities in the law for aspiring legal professionals who prefer to study while also playing an important role in a legal team rather than heading off to university. They also offer the chance for someone to develop a career in the profession at a pace that suits them as an initial paralegal apprenticeship can then be followed by further qualifications.”

Iain Grimes, the firm’s Managing Partner, adds: “It is always rewarding to see people grow and develop with the firm and the fact that this cohort of apprentices are still with us five years on is a testament to their enthusiasm but also the supportive environment provided by their colleagues. The apprenticeship route also gives people an opportunity to learn on-the-job about the practicalities of different areas of law and what actually matters most to clients which is not necessarily the primary focus of more traditional routes into law.”
