Fraser Dawbarns’ growing footprint in Agriculture and Rural Affairs work recognised by Chambers UK

This autumn for the first time, Fraser Dawbarns has been recognised by national directory Chambers UK for its strength in Agriculture & Rural Affairs work, as well as continuing to be ranked for Agriculture & Estates work in the Legal 500. Both directories are independent reviewers of the legal profession and rankings are based on a range of criteria including feedback from clients and professional intermediaries.

Chambers UK’s ranking of Fraser Dawbarns in Band 3 shows sees the firm identified as being in the top nine firms in East Anglia for this area of work. The firm is the only one with offices in its core geography – which stretches from King’s Lynn down to Ely and west to Wisbech and March – to be recommended for legal work in the Agricultural sector. This year’s review commentary confirms that: “Fraser Dawbarns routinely advises clients on the purchase and sale of agricultural land and rural property in East Anglia”.

Legal 500 2027, published at the end of September, said: “With a presence across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Fraser Dawbarns continues to grow its client base for agricultural law matters and has strong relationships with local agricultural agents and accountants with large farming practices. Farm sale and purchase, tax planning, and renewable energy developments are three core offerings for the team.”

Daniel Ball, who heads the firm’s Agricultural sector team, comments: “We have a long-established relationship with many local farming families and agricultural agents, and this has grown and strengthened in recent years with the increase in renewable energy and other diversification projects in the region. It is rewarding to see that the recognition for the support we can give to the agricultural community has now extended to well-regarded independent reviewers of our profession. We look forward to continuing to expand our specialist team in the year ahead and to providing commercial legal solutions to farmers and landowners who need them.”
