Downham Market Youth Awards – Firm supports local youth awards ceremony

Fraser Dawbarns was delighted to be able to support the celebration of Downham Market’s outstanding local primary school pupils who have been working extremely hard both in their schools and in their local community.

The Downham Market Youth Awards were launched in 2007 by former Mayor of Downham Market, Councillor Michael Ford. This year’s event took place on 10th February and was hosted by the Mayor of Downham Market and the award winners were announced by The Town Crier. The Overall Achievers this year were Tegan Harnwell from Clackclose Primary School and Zara Barlow from Hillcrest Primary School.

It was lovely to see so many children working hard and achieving their goals in all sorts of ways including excellent student, making good progress and helping others. Many young people had been raising monies for charities and putting others before themselves.

Sarah Gregory, a member of the Private Client team, who presented one of the Overall Achiever awards (photo opposite), said “It was a great honour to be able to assist these awards and to celebrate the achievements of our local young people.”

Along with a delicious buffet provided by Denver Mill, and a disco provided by Nick Robinson, the firm provided funding for refreshments and book tokens for two ‘Overall Achiever’ Awards.
